Future Project Award goes to ... Vertical Landscapes

Vertical Landscapes was selected Future Project Award Winner at this year’s Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) Conference in Toronto.

Vertical Landscapes introduce a new urban typology: the continuation of the city’s land —streets, squares, parks…— in the air. Open to anyone at any time, these landscapes are the natural extension of the urban conditions at ground level.

As urbanisation progresses relentlessly, the city is and will remain at the centre of the dynamics that shape societal development. Exploring the potential of the vertical as integral part of the urban outside, increasing urban density will no longer be synonymous with inserting solitary towers but with intensifying urban life through an openness that once again fills the city with engaged and interactive content.

FBA’s design was selected among projects by AECOM, Nikken Sekkei, WW+P, Büro Ole Scheeren, Lead8, Fletcher Priest Architects, and Kalbod Studio.
